Jonathan Smith aka Lil Jon turns 42 today. In honour of the King of Crunks birthday, we've put together a list of his biggest hits.

With a  career as eclectic as Lil Jon's, it's hard to pinpoint what the multi-talented artist truly is: rapper, DJ, producer, actor or hype-man. A swirling mix of dread-locks, gold teeth, pimp cups, and random exclamations, the self-proclaimed King of Crunk is 42 years young today. At HNHH, we decided to honor Jonathan Smith's birthday by listing the top ten hit tracks that he's associated with as a rapper or producer. Enjoy.

Featuring Sean Paul and E-40, this track is classic Jon with the synths and triangle, slightly tweaked though. Rightfully so, it's a popular track in the clubs.

8. Whats Happnin! (2004)
Me & My Brother
This song should be on everyones workout playlist. Another Ying Yang track that Li'l Jon produced for; he has his signature screaming and supplies a few incoherent words along with the twins irrelevant verse. It's all about that beat.

7. What U Gon' Do (2004)
Crunk Juice
This song did more than launch Li'l Scrappy's career worldwide, it showed the talent Li'l Jon & The Eastside Boyz had as the Kings of Crunk.

6. Shots (feat. LMFAO) (2009)
Party Rock
You just know this track wouldn't be the same without Jon, especially since he produced the beat for a track that's still blasted at clubs today. It's a classic track that's a guilty pleasure for a lot us when the drinks come out.

5. Salt Shaker (2003)
Me & My Brother
Based on a hilarious analogy, this song managed to rise to #2 on the rap charts due to its irresistibility. Technically it is a Ying Yang track but Jon did the beat and he does have his signature yelling throughout the track.

4. Lovers & Friends (2004)
Crunk Juice
Peaking at number 3 on the Billboard charts, this track exemplified again the chemistry the Atlanta trio of Ludacris, Usher, and Li'l Jon possessed.

3. Yeah! (2004)
Confessions
This used to be your girls go-to dance track and for good reason too. One of Jon's favourite sayings got turned into one of the hottest club tracks of all time.  Li'l Jon's beat, Ludacris' verse, and Ushers' crooning exemplifies the explosive chemistry the Atlanta trio possessed.

Remixing Fat Joe's monster hit, Li'l Jon took the hottest song of 2004 and made it better. Kudos.

1. Get Low (2003)
Kings of Crunk
The ultimate club song. Throw this on at anytime, anywhere and people in the vicinity will get moving. The lyrics are ridiculous but when you're in the club, it all makes sense.
