2016 has been a very good year for music, and that might be getting even better. In an unusual turn of events, YourEDM connected the dots on a Billboard interview from July in which Republic Records A&R Wendy Goldstein mentioned that The Weeknd and Daft Punk were working together. “We have a session coming up in two days,” Goldstein state in the July 15 roundtable interview, “… with The Weeknd and Daft Punk.”
Fast forward two months, and we obviously have not heard the song yet. However that may be changing soon, as last week Abel Tesfaye posted a photo to Facebook that prominently features two figurines that look unmistakably like Daft Punk.
It’s been almost exactly one year since The Weeknd dropped his album The Beauty Behind The Madness. We’re ready for more from the talented Toronto crooner, especially if Daft Punk is involved. Are y'all excited for this seemingly impending collaboration?
