Lil B's Free Based Freestyles collaborative mixtape with Chance the Rapper is evidence that working with another rapper forces him become a better rapper/stop being such a spaz -- no disrespect to his new 63-track solo mixtape Thugged Out Pissed Off.
Which is why it is encouraging to see Lil B in the studio with iLoveMakonnen. Although one doubts Makonnen's presence would force Lil B to stop being weird. Makonnen documented their studio session with two Instagram posts, the first being "Lil B X iLoveMakonnen" written on a napkin with what appears to be a napkin with new music blaring in the background. "2016 Based God X Red Dragon..." he wrote. "See you sooner."
