After a considerable amount of teasing, Iggy Azalea has finally released her “Mo Bounce” single. It’s a full-on genre bender, incorporating a mix of hip hop 808s with electronic tinges. The rippling bass evokes the dirty dubstep and electro that has been popular in Iggy’s native Australia. The Stereotypes and The Far East Movement produced the track, which may also explain the electronic influences.
Lyrically, Iggy is clearly trying to prove she’s here to stay after being dragged for her music more than a couple times. She uses very little of the pop that made her a household name with “Fancy,” instead ripping through multiple verses of straight bars. What do you think of Iggy Azalea’s latest track? The video drops tomorrow and is sure to be full of eye-candy when it releases.
Quotable Lyrics
100 spokes spinnin' on a chrome rim
I got a feelin' that tonight we gon be going in
A few bad bitches and some grown men
Ice so cold I feel like I'm snowed in
