The Chicago rap scene has a seemingly endless supply of quality hip hop acts. Case in point -- Hurt Everybody, aka the tag team of Supa Bwe and MulattoBeats, which saw Independence Day as a good occasion to drop their tape 2K47 and also release over 100 of their songs for free on their website.
Apparently the majority of the project was lost a few months ago when the hard drives containing the files crashed, but they bounced back in a major way. Laced with 14 tracks, 2K47 features appearances from Twista, Mick Jenkins, Saba, Alex Wiley. It's a Chicago affair!
According to Supa Bwe, 2K47 "isn't your run-of-the-mill bullshit mixtape. It's a nearly invincible body of work. A collective catharsis. The underdogs apotheosis." Give it a listen and head over to hurteverybody.com to download the remainder of their tracks for free.99.
