"Take a peek into this piece of shit I call my life."
Horrorcore meets boom bap on "Vietnam," a sinister new record from Long Beach, Califonia emcee Huey Briss' new Ash Lightly EP, which we just premiered here. Stream or download the cut and let us know what you think, folks. How's it make you feel?
For those unfamiliar, Briss hails from the Grace Park area of Long Beach and used to go by LB, having recently changed his rap moniker. He has a hand in the new T-Rex Global clothing brand, and fellow Californian artists Pyramid Vritra and Seafood Sam are his closest associates, musical and otherwise.
Ash Lightly is Huey B's first official project since his artistic rebirth, an all-original 5-track EP with additional production from Hance and XR, also of California. Cop it here, and keep up with Briss via Instagram, Twitter or Tumblr otherwise.
Quotable Lyrics
So defiant, so enticing when you hear me preach
Huey Motherfuckin' B, they can't fuck with me
Catch me at the mortuary pullin' teeth
Rest in peace to your uncle, but a nigga's gotta eat
-Huey Briss
