Hopsin heads to the courtroom for the eighth installment of his “Ill Mind of Hopsin” series. The California rapper takes the witness stand to air out his feelings. He also drops a bombshell within the video, distancing himself from the label he co-founded, Funk Volume. He takes more than a few shots at his Funk Volume co-founder Damien Ritter, even calling him a “new age Jerry Heller.”
The beat is a snapping, trap track, and suits Hopsin’s angry style quite well. The video ends with a slideshow of images from the past few successful years, acting as a eulogy for the partnership Hopsin had with Ritter and reminding him of what he spoiled. The video ends with the logo to Hopsin’s “Undercover Prodigy” label/company.
