After releasing "Jokers" and "Blanco," Toronto rapper Harvey Stripes continues his ramp up to In God We Trust with "PAID Pt. 2," this time bringing out heavyweight French Montana to sing the hook and stick around for a verse.
Stripes' clear enunciation, flow, subject matter, and vocal timbre are highly reminiscent of Pusha T (though the cover art is more reminiscent of Rick Ross), and his style here contrast nicely with that of French. They let the people know where they're from over this glittering, big city beat.
As you wait for Stripes to drop In God We Trust, revisit his 2013 tape A Penny And A Nightmare.
Quotable Lyrics
My ambitions as a rider,
Black and white Benzes, Nixon and Obama
Presidential suits in the Trump Towers
The burner got bite, call it Rottweiler.
