It earned a record-setting 16 Tony nominations.

A year of "Hamilton" fever culminated in last night's Tony Awards, where the revolutionary hip hop-inspired musical take home 11 awards. It was nominated for 16 Tonys, more than any other Broadway show in history.

Sadness in the aftermath of the Orlando nightclub shooting marred what was otherwise a exhilarating night at the Tony Awards. "Hamilton" star Lin-Manuel Miranda addressed the tragedy during his acceptance speech for Best Original Score, which took the form of a sonnet.

“When senseless acts of tragedy remind us that nothing here is promised. Not one day," he said. “This show is proof that history remembers. We live through times when hate and fear seem stronger, we rise and fall and light from dying embers, remembrances that hope and love last longer.”

Here are the 11 awards "Hamilton" took home.
