Droptopwop, Gucci Mane's 4th studio album since his release from prison, arrived on the anniversary of his freedom. It's hard to believe it's only been 12 months since we got Guwop back, and that's entirely due to the rapper's incomparable productivity. This was actually the biggest gap between projects we've seen in Gucci's comeback year, and it's resulted in what could be his strongest post-prison work. Teaming with Metro Boomin across a concise 10 tracks, the Trap God displays a dazzling spontaneity in his hooks and quotables; a quality that has been one of his most influential on Atlanta's new generation.
On "Both Eyes Closed," Metro is joined by London On Da Track, who supplies echoing keys that are stripped of their usual color as they're dragged into Metro's bleak sonic world. Meanwhile, two old collaborators of Gucci -- 2 Chainz and Young Dolph -- bring their own complimentary styles of catchy street rap to the beat.

Quotable Lyrics:
Click the link in the bio
I'm the illest that I know
I'm the illest to rivals
All my cars got a title
Had to Roc just like Tidal
Sell a preacher the Bible
I'm a hustler for real
Sell a hospital vital
Sell my cousin some Adderall
'Cause he takin' his finals
Tity Boi your highness
Make it through any crisis
All I do is look straight
All the bullshit behind us
Got the 'Ye on the bracelet
Got the 'Ye on the frame
Got the 'Ye on the watch
'Ye to the game
Both Eyes Closed
