Gucci Mane is nothing if not prolific. Since January, he's released 5 mixtapes (3 joint, 2 solo), and one independent album with last month's Trap House III. Gucci has already announced another album, Mr. GuWop due out in the fall, and now plans to drop a Brick Squad compilation, titled Big Money Talk, which may or may not be out this summer.
According to some recent tweets from GuWop, the project will feature the locked up Young Scooter, PeWee Longway, Young Thug, Young Dolph, recent signee Chief Keef, and surprisingly, Gucci's former partner in trap, but recent enemy Waka Flocka. At first glance it seems strange that Young Scooter is set to appear on the comp, when he is not due out of jail until the fall. Waka's appearance also seems implausible, as there has still been no news of a reconciliation between him and Gucci.
A recent interview GuWop did with XXL answers a few of these questions, pointing to the fact that much of the comp will consist of older tracks.
"I’m just working on my Brick Squad group album which will drop this summer. It’ll be me, PeeWee Longway, Young Thug, Dolph and of course Chief Keef. I even got songs with Waka on there. I’m just gonna drop a collection of all the best songs we’ve been making. I dropped a mixtape for every artist on my label, so now I feel like it’s just time to put our album together and show everybody the chemistry we got together."
