"Cruel Fall" indeed. Kanye West and company, take an L and end up at number two on the charts this week.
Perhaps stymied by an early leak that revealed that the majority of the bangers on the album had already been released throughout the summer, or possibly just outshone by a Pop powerhouse, the G.O.O.D. Music compilation Cruel Summer comes in behind Pink's Truth About Love on the charts. It's not as if the album performed poorly, it's just a Kanye-helmed project is not used to coming second fiddle. According to HDD, Cruel summer was able to push 216k copies in its debut week, with Pink moving around 280k units (via HHNM).
Expect to see the G.O.O.D. Music crew topping the charts in the coming months with expected solo albums from Big Sean, Pusha T, Common, and even Mr. West himself. Who's album are you most hyped for?
