G Herbo has shared new music today, adding to his recent streak of great music kicked off by his Strictly 4 My Fans mixtape. Linking with his frequent collaborator DJ L ("Oh my God, who is this?"), Herbo begins the song with a monologue about Chicago's issues with violence. "I'm 20 years old, I know I know at least 50 people dead." he says. "That shit not regular." The crushing intro leads to melancholic record that finds Herb musing on the darkness and pain his city is currently consumed by.
Herbo is expected to release his official debut album Humble Beast in the near future. Listen to "Don't Forget It," his excellent collaboration with Harry Fraud, here.
Quotable Lyrics:
All we know is darkness, all we know is pain
All my niggas heartless, this the game we play
And we come from, where they hate us
And they take from, world full of fake love
Nothin' but cloudy days, shoot outs 'round the way
Babys catchin' strays, but this the game we play
