If you need some not-so-light reading today, you can have a look at the 21-page lawsuit from Lil Wayne, against Cash Money. After reporting on the suit yesterday, which is for $51 million, all the documents from the lawsuit have now surfaced online.
Tunechi is suing Cash Money for breaching his contract, after they failed to pay up a total of $10 million for his work on Tha Carter V. In addition to wanting out of his CM contract, he would like to be joint copyright owner of all the Young Money recordings. Plus $51 million. In more Lil Wayne/Cash Money news, apparently if Cash Money antes up the money he's owed, Weezy would be forced to stick with the label. TMZ reports that Universal is pushing Cash Money to settle, and they plan on stepping on to give Wayne the $10 million.
If the label does pay, then there is no breach of contract which basically makes Wayne's lawsuit void.
