Dr. Dre's Compton: The Soundtrack dropped Friday, his first album in 16 years and his "grand finale," and as you might expect it is projected to do huge numbers its first week.
Hits Daily Double predicts that Compton: The Soundtrack will move 260,000 to 275,000 copies, not including streams. However impressive those numbers may be, the album will likely finish second on the Billboard charts behind country singer Luke Bryan's Kill the Lights. It is possible that clever viral campaigns like the Straight Outta Compton meme could give Dre's sales numbers a bump and put him in the top spot.
Check back at the end of the week for the final tally.
