After a couple delays and name changes, Migos finally released their highly anticipated debut album last month called Yung Rich Nation. While the rollout process was a bit of a mess, unfortunately the first week album sales represent that as well.
According to Billboard, Migos’ debut album Yung Rich Nation sold only 15K units in its opening week, landing them #3 on the hip-hop album charts. In comparison, Lil Dicky's debut Professional Rapper pushed 22K copies its first week, ultimately landing him the #1 hip-hop album in the country right now. Pretty crazy right?
A couple days ago, Migos revealed that they’re already almost done with their sophomore album, and now we may know why.
Do you think album sales justify a project or could you care less? (Let us know in the comments below.) Stream Yung Rich Nation here if you haven’t done so yet.
