This past Tuesday was full of major releases. Alongside Paul Wall and E-40’s new albums, Childish Gambino and R. Kelly released highly anticipated projects as well, and the early first week sales projections are in for those albums.
According to HDD, R. Kelly’s Black Panties album is projected to move 90-100k units in the first week which will be good enough to land him a top 5 debut on Billboard 200.
Coming right behind Kellz is Childish Gambino’s Because The Internet, which is projected to sell a healthy 80-90k units in its first week. That’s a significant jump compared to his last album, Camp, which moved only 52k copies in its first week back in 2011. That's almost double the sales this time around for Donald.
Check back next week for the exact numbers.
