For anyone who thinks rappers aren't positive role models to the kids, check this out. A young boy named Jayden, who was diagnosed with Retinoblastoma at a young age, causing the removal of his right eye, has been inspired by Fetty Wap, who, of course, also has one eye -- as, when he was a kid, Fetty lost his left eye due to glaucoma.
Jayden's mother posted a picture of her son on Instagram, and wrote a long post about how grateful she was to Fetty for inspiring her son to go to school, for the first time, without his prosthetic eye. Jayden had long been terrified of leaving the house without his prosthetic eye, but after seeing the amazing rise of Fetty Wap, he now has the confidence to go to school without it.
"This young rapper unknowingly gave Jayden something we weren't able to give him - the confidence to be different - and I am grateful to him," wrote Brenda Vaden, Jayden's mother.
Brenda's post has since gone viral and reached the eye of Jayden's hero, Fetty Wap, who commented on the post, thanking Jayden for his support and praising his confidence: "All I wanna do is show ppl that it's not how you look or what you see it's how you see it and what your looking for from yourself."
Amen.
