Many had written off, Dwyane Wade, who was hobbled with a knee injury throughout the 2012 Playoffs, but he was able to persevere and the Miami Heat dispensed of the Oklahoma City Thunder in a surprisingly short five game series to capture the franchise's second NBA Championship.
D-Wade recently shouted out HNHH for continually supporting his charity event for kids,“Wade’s World Weekend”, when we caught up with him in his home town of Chicago.
The future NBA Hall of Famer talked about his musical side, saying “[I] wanna be a singer in my next lifetime,” and how even though the NBA is his livelihood, there is much more to his personality, “basketball is my passion, but it’s not the only thing in my life.”
The Chicago native talked about his new book, which explores the importance of being a positive father figure, and the role that plays for a young urban male. His book entitled “A Father First: How My Life Became Bigger Than Basketball”, depicts his life growing up as a kid in the South side of Chicago, and the court battle during his divorce.
See HNHH’s interview with the '06 NBA Finals MVP below, where he discusses his book, hidden talents, and what’s in his iPod these days.
Dwyane Wade’s book is available now and can be purchased on Amazon.
