Hey A$AP Ferg, your pop side is showing. Over the past week, Fergenstein has remixed a song by indie-pop group Haim, been announced as a guest on Ariana Grande's upcoming album, and now has teamed up with singer Elle Varner for a new track. Though it's certainly a different, less "Fergivicious" direction for the A$AP Mob firebrand, we can dig it when he's still bringing his inventive rapping to the table.
"Don't Wanna Dance" begins with a very brief sample of Kanye West's "We Don't Care" before expanding into a sunny, carefree jam. Varner sings about her reluctance to dance, and Ferg tells her she should've stayed home and watched Martin with him. Great chemistry from this duo.
Quotable Lyrics:
See, I told your ass not to go to that damn party
You don't listen, now you singin' this damn sorry
Song, we coulda stayed home and watched Martin
Brought me up on the fifth floor with the milk-a-carton
