As was just reported, Future sent out a few tweets confirming the continued alliance between Freebandz Gang and October's Very Own. It was initially assumed that he intended to hint at a feature on Drake's Views from the 6, which drops this Friday, but it has now been rumored that Future will join Drake on his "Summer Sixteen" tour this summer. That's not to say he still won't appear on Views; a new collaboration as well as a joint tour would certainly take the partnership to new heights.
The revelation of the "Summer Sixteen" tour comes as Live Nation (likely mistakenly) posted one of the tour's shows online. For a short time, there was an event page for a "Summer Sixteen" concert, featuring Drake and Future, set for August 16 at Joe Louis Arena in Detroit. The page has since been deleted, though MissInfo was able to capture a screenshot of all the pertinent information, which you can see here.
There is a countdown on the page for when tickets for the Detroit show will become available for purchase. If the countdown is to be believed, then one can buy tickets starting this Friday, the same day as the release of Views. The only thing about the event page that seems suspect is that it shows an image of the poster to last year's "Jungle" tour, which also featured both Drake and Future.
While the evidence pointing toward another joint tour -- named after the lead single off Views -- is convincing, stay tuned for the official announcement.
