Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg wowed the audience at Coachella by bringing out several big names during their performance, including Tupac. The Tupac hologram did "Hail Mary" as well as "2 Of Amerikaz Most Wanted."
For those not in attendance at Coachella, word is there could be a future tour involving Dre & Snoop and hologram-Pac. Wall Street Journal reports that reps for Dre and Snoop will discuss the logistics of going on tour with the hologram.
"This is just the beginning," said Ed Ulbrich, the chief creative officer for Digital Domain Media Group, Inc., the company responsible for bringing out Tupac's hologram on stage. "Dre has a massive vision for this."
"To create a completely synthetic human being is the most complicated thing that can be done," Ulbrich said.
Dr. Dre had approached the company a year ago to find out whether it would possible for a hologram of Pac to appear on stage. The company began to work on the one we all saw at Coachella about four months ago.
This potential tour could also involve artists such as Eminem, 50 Cent and Wiz Khalifa; or just the headliners Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg.
