Yesterday, Brooklyn's own Donmonique popped up to the HNHH office to play us some new music. THe highlight was one that she had just finished mixing the previous night: a bruising slice of classic NY boom bap called "Tha Low." What's more, the track featured Danny Brown, a personal favorite and someone who doesn't give out guest verses to just anyone.
Produced by Stelios Phili and also featuring Slayter, the track finds Donmonique in more native territory than her West Coast-sounding "Pilates" or the slightly trappy "You Ain't Heard."
This will show up on her debut project, Thirst Trap, which will be out late June/early July.
