Never one to mince words, DMX was on Power 105.1’s the Breakfast Club, and it appears his view on Canadian rapper Drake hasn’t changed one bit. Earlier in the year, X was very open about disliking Drake saying “[I don’t] like anything about Drake...the way he walks..his haircut.”
The Breakfast Club took the recent opportunity to broach the subject again and get DMX’s thoughts to see if his view on the Young Money talent had changed. From HHDX, “no, not at all. Not at all. I don’t think that’ll happen,” X answered about changing his opinion of the Take Care rapper.
It was when they brought up DMX’s “Romeo Must Die” co-star, Aaliyah, that X became angry. He thinks it’s “disrespectful” for Drake to work on the fallen R&B star’s posthumous work, “Disrespectful, like that don’t even make sense. See that’s what I’m saying, you can’t do shit like that.”
X became a little threatening even, saying that if this were the DMX of old, he would probably corner Drake and rough him up a bit, “I wish it was like maybe seven years ago or maybe like 10 years ago where you know, catch him in the elevator, beat him up. Just to let ‘em know. It’s real son.”
DMX’s comeback LP Undisputed is available on iTunes now.
