Drake's VIEWS will relinquish the No. 1 spot on the albums chart for a second time since its release at the end of April. Taking the crown on the latest Sales Plus Streaming chart is DJ Khaled's Major Key, which moved 96,000 equivalent album units in its first week, reports HDD. After earning its 12th non-consecutive week at No. 1, VIEWS is back to No. 2 for the first time in a month, when it was dethroned by Blink-182's California. For the latest charting period, VIEWS experienced a four percent dip from last week, selling just under 80,000 equivalent albums.
According to HDD, Major Key is also the top-selling album on the latest Album Sales Chart, which doesn't factor in streaming numbers. Khaled's pure album sales amount to just under 60,000 copies, whereas those of VIEWS are only about 14,500, earning the album a rank of No. 8 on the chart that's based off traditional album sales.
With the unveiling of the new charts, Major Key has officially become Khaled's first No. 1 album. It took him nine tries. Congrats to the We the Best mogul on the impressive feat. Listen to Major Key here.
