Toronto rapper Devontée is back today with the first single off his new project. The rapper has been on our radar since he dropped "Let It Go" last year, and as he preps his upcoming effort District Vibe he sent over this cut to premiere.
Devontée shouts out the Six and merges his Toronto and Jamaican roots on "Bare Tings", while simultaneously big upping the crew he runs with: WOE (Working On Excellence). The rapper also produced this mechanical instrumental, which is nothing new, as he also produced his entire debut EP. We can probably expect more of that on District Vibe.
No release date has been set yet for District Vibe, but expect it in 2015.
Quotable Lyrics
My killers are walking with bare tings
Please tell me why would I fear things
Quit the sneak-dissing, talking from a distance
Better believe that I hear things
