Derek Wise has been relatively quiet since he dropped off his impressive 4 Pack EP back in March, but thankfully that quiet streak ends here today. To celebrate the good news of some charges being dropped, the buzzing Toronto rapper & XO affiliate decided to share a new song on his soundcloud page called “Had To Wake Up.”
Over the hard-hittin Geoff Wood-produced beat, Derek “had to wake up” and reflect on who his real friends are & who he should be riding around with these days. Here’s the message Derek left when he released the song… “Beat up that case. All charges dropped so I had to drop this for yall. S/O to the 1’s that rode wit me from the jump.”
