De La Soul are putting out a new album, but they'll need $110,000 of crowd-sourced funds first.

De La Soul hasn't put out a proper studio album since 2004's The Grind Date. Today, they've announced that they're ready to record their first LP in 11 years, but they'll need your help to put it out. Launching a kickstarter today, the iconic trio are looking to raise $110,000 for their new album, and have offered a few enticing offers to those who donate.

For $7,500, you can actually get to appear on a skit for the album, but those who aren't ready to drop that kind of cash, there are plenty of more options to cop autographed vinyl and the like.

The LP will feature Damon Albarn, David Byrne, Little Dragon, and 2 Chainz. So by our calculations it's 100k for the Tity verse, and $10,000 for everything else. Seems reasonable.
