While Straight Outta Compton has only been out for a few weeks, there have already been multiple rumors about biopics that would pick up storylines introduced in the film -- namely the Dogg Pound and Death Row.
The first report came from Daz Dillinger, who claimed a sequel that would follow the careers of Snoop Dogg and Tupac was in the works, but Universal quickly responded, claiming they knew nothing of the project.
Since then, a very similar biopic has apparently been shopped around, but it hasn't stopped Daz from continuing with his film, which now has a full cast.
As evidenced by the producer's Instagram, a scene from the upcoming Dogg Pound 4 Life (or DPG 4 Life) was filmed over the weekend, with Daz (Azad Arnaud), Dr. Dre (Dr. Dre’s son Curtis Young), Suge Knight (Reggie Nobel), Tupac (DaDa), and Kurupt (Melvin Jackson Jr.) and Lady Of Rage (playing herself) pictured in the studio together.
TMZ reports the scene was a recreation of a legendary session in which Tupac's “Ambitionz Az a Ridah” and “I Ain’t Mad at Cha” were recorded within 24 hours of one another.
Check out the many photos of the actors involved below. Think it'll be on the same level as Straight Outta Compton.
