Electronic music and hip-hop are quickly fusing, such that the genre's are often blurred. Such is the case with Daye Jack, a recent NYU grad who's just inked a deal with Warner. His latest release, "Trapped In Love," shows off his unique skillset, able to spit inspired lyrics that don't get lost in the glitchy dance beat behind him.
The production boasts feel-good, summertime vibes, but Daye's raps are heartfelt and, at times, painful-- an unusual, but intoxicating, mix.
"Trapped In Love" will appear on Daye Jack's upcoming project Soul Glitch, out June 30.
Y'all getting down to this one?
Quotablye Lyrics
Make it work, no words, I'm smilin'
Should I be rich to get your respect?
Should I be chill to reach out for sex?
Can you love me if I'm not the best?
