Harlem's Dave East is gearing up for the release of his mixtape Black Rose, but before he drops some new originals on us, he's shared his personal take on the hottest freestyle vehicle of the year (thus far): Drake's "0 To 100."
Starting off with some references to xany bars, crack and petty crime, East's rendition of the track is gritty, lyrical and hard-nosed. Though he mostly spits about drugs and women, he keeps things interesting with his storytelling ability and wide vocabulary.
Before Black Rose drops, be sure to check out Dave East's previous jams "Gift Of God" and "I'm On."
Quotable Lyrics:
Feel this, was mad before I know they still pissed
I don't respect your opinion if you don't feel this
Your bitch blew the whole family and you still kiss
Hood nigga, staircase in the building, I still piss
