Two months ago, Azealia Banks filed a formal battery report against Russell Crowe alleging that he choked her, spat on her, and called her a racial slur before physically removing her from a dinner party at his hotel room in Los Angeles. According to a new report from TMZ, the Los Angeles County District Attorney's office has opted not to charge Crowe. The D.A. called Crowe's actions “justified to prevent the imminent violence threatened by Banks" and described his spitting as “incidental to preventing more serious threatened violence."
According to Crowe and his other dinner guests, including RZA, Banks questioned Crowe's musical taste and called him and his friends "boring white men" before telling a woman in the room, “you would love it if I broke my glass, stabbed you guys in the throat" -- at which point Crowe picked her up and deposited her in the hallway.
