Back in his short-lived Cash Money days, a collaboration with Lil Wayne wasn't as much of a rarity for Curren$y. Recently we heard the two reunite on "Bottom Of The Barrell," but the new Alchemist-produced "Fat Albert" may be an even better use of their dynamic, allowing both rappers to find their own way through the gritty loop.
Weezy takes over a minute in, and doesn't stop rapping until the track wraps up at 3:30. He delivers some of his most inventive punchlines in recent memory, and sounds like he could keep going on he instrumental for another 300 bars or so, but thankfully, leaves us with plenty to chew on as it is.
Quotable Lyrics:
And your homie talking loud
'Bout what he gon' do
You know your homie ain't your homie
Til he bleed on you
You know you never know you love her
'Til she cheat on you
You know you never know your brother 'til he dethrone you
You know Lil Tunechi been a soldier since T-R-U
Fuck the heated argument, we let the heat argue
P-I-R-U brazy like glue
Fat Albert
