The CEO of Violator Records & Management has passed away suddenly, although not many details are available on his death as of yet.

Twitter is often the fastest news source, although not always reliable. Trending this afternoon was the news of the death of Chris Lighty, who is the CEO Violator Records & Management, which oversees many popular rap stars.

This time though, Twitter's trending topic was accurate. Chris Lighty has passed away. Chris Lighty managed such artists as Busta Rhymes, Soulja Boy, Mariah Carey, Diddy, 50 Cent, Uncle Murda and more.

As of now, there are not many details available on his death, however it is rumored to have been by suicide. Jeff Robinson, a close friend of Lighty, confirmed the news on Twitter, as well as others inside the music industry.

HNHH will keep you posted as more details are revealed. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Lighty's family at this time.
