Earlier this morning, this song leaked on the web. Now we have the official version of the new single thanks to Billboard. The collaboration, featuring DeJ Loaf, is a glimpse into stories of street life, as relayed to us by Chevy. The Taylor Gang rapper spoke to Billboard about the song, calling it "personal."
"It's a personal song," Woods says. "In some ways I got into a little trouble myself which made me realize how real that other side is. The song is my life in 3 minutes -- they're stories I've been waiting to tell and now I've got a platform to speak from."
Chevy also gave DeJ props for bringing the song "full circle" with the emotion in her voice, more so than the words she's rapping. Take a listen, and head over to iTunes to cop it.
Quotable Lyrics
I'm spilling pain from this bottle for my niggas who was here
But can't live for tomorrow, I got us
Look, let the neck tell it, you a rida
But you took all them shots when them boys slid beside ya
It's just business it's never personal
I'm tryna end you, and this be the closed curtain flow
