Charles Hamilton's "The Black Box" EP will be out in September.

On airplanes, the "black box" is the name given to a flight recording device, and it's usually only opened and analyzed after a plane crashes, so it's built to be indestructible. We're not sure if that's the metaphor Charles Hamilton is pursuing on his upcoming EP, titled The Black Box, but it kind of makes sense. Think about it-- his career crashed and burned after he was named an XXL Freshman, and now he's back to show that despite his career setbacks, his music and abilities have remained intact.

The EP, first announced back in July, will be released on September 18th, as per a post on Hamilton's Instagram (see below).
