Yesterday was a big day for Bryson Tiller. In fact, the Trapsoul singer owned the day -- literally -- as the Louisville Metro Government officially anointed March 12 as "Bryson Tiller Day." In addition to getting his own holiday, Tiller was also given the key to the city of Louisville. It all went down last night during the final U.S. show on Tiller's "Trapsoul" tour, which, of course, took place in his hometown.
After the show, Tiller's DJ congratulated him on receiving the key to the city.
Tiller's hometown return proved to have even more surprises, as Big Sean joined Tiller on stage and performed hits like "IDFWU."
In February, Drake and Kendrick Lamar each received the key to their hometowns, Toronto and Compton, respectively. Only one album deep -- one that has sold over 250,000 copies -- Tiller isn't nearly on the same level as Drake or Kendrick, though he's certainly the hottest thing in Louisville. His Trapsoul tour is moving to Europe at the end of the month. Check dates here.
