Bobby Shmurda's video for "Hot Nigga" created quite a stir earlier this summer, instantly creating a meme in the "Shmoney Dance", and inspiring a flock of labels to encircle the young New Yorker. Since then, Shmurda has signed a deal with EPIC, and "Hot Nigga" has been getting plenty of traction outside of YouTube streams. We've already heard a slew of artists create their own versions of the track, and as Shmurda shared with HNHH in an exclusive interview, there's an all-star remix in the works.
While the rapper is still in the process of selecting verses for the new mix, he revealed that he's already got quite a few artists locked in. "It's dropping in the next two weeks," said Shmurda of the track. "So far, we've got Chris Brown on it, we've got French, we've got Jada[kiss], we've got Busta [Rhymes]. We've got a stack of people we're still picking. The label said we can throw like 6 people on there. People are still sending verses."
Bobby did say there was one rapper in particular he was hoping to score a 16 from. "I'm really trying to talk to Weezy right now," he said hopefully, but also expressed the desire to work with Jay Z and Beyonce in the future.
"He showed some love," he Shmurda of Hov and Bey's endorsement of the "Shmoney Dance", but conveyed that Jay Z wasn't the easiest man to get on the phone. "He's hard to get in contact with. He's like the president."
As far as future projects are concerned, Shmurda's got a lot on his plate. "[I'm] Working on mixtapes, working on EPs, working on an album," he said, detailing some of his future collaborations. "I just did a song with Rico Love, a song with Chris Brown, a song with Uncle Murda, and one with French [Montana]."
