Last year, DMV trio Black COAL wowed us with their tape THR-O-NE, and since then, have returned to our homepage with the "Paid In Full" homage "Ace Mitch Rico." Whereas that last one was an uptempo, high-energy track, their latest slows things down a bit, opting for a spookier sound. Check out the EpikTheDawn-produced "No Remorse" above.
The beat consists of pitched-down percussion and some haunting vocal samples, making a minimal, effective palette (or canvas, as is suggested by the line, "the world is my canvas and I'm gon' Van Gogh that shit") for Young Heat, C.T. and Jayy Tu-Wize to rhyme over. Let us know what you think.
