Hip-hop has been well represented in the year 2016, and it's always a beautiful thing to see that reflected in the end of year lists of the mainstream music publications. Beyoncé and Chance The Rapper both had incredible years, and their projects were essentially impossible for the world of rock music to ignore. Rolling Stone released their list of the "50 Best Albums of 2016" today. Here's where hip-hop stood on that list.
1. Beyoncé - Lemonade
2. David Bowie - Blackstar (it's a rock album, but the late legend said Kendrick inspired the entire thing) (RIP)
3. Chance The Rapper - Coloring Book
5. Frank Ocean - Blonde
8. Kanye West - The Life Of Pablo
10. Young Thug - Jeffery
11. Solange - A Seat at the Table
