Beats By Dre's foray into the world of music streaming has seen some transformations over the year, initially their streaming service was to be called Daisy but they've opted for a more recognizable and straight-forward name with Beats Music.
As we previously reported, the service planned to go live for public consumption today, January 21st, and indeed it did. While it's not yet available in the Android Google Play store, it is available in iTunes (expect it to launch with Android in the near future).
The service, which will be competitors with currently-popular ones like Spotify and Pandora, offers over 20 million songs to stream for a monthly deal of $9.99. Users are able to discover and pick and choose songs for themselves, by indicating their favorite genres.
