Dreamville rapper Bas is currently on tour with labelmate Cozz, duo EarthGang, and Ron Gilmore; they all just passed through NYC this week. Taking a quick break from tour promotion, Bas kicks off our weekend on a high note, with a new verse from Ab-Soul on the official remix of his "Housewives" record. The original song appeared on Bas' album Too High To Riot, which dropped back in March.
Although Soulo revealed he'd turn in his album "tracclist" in June, we haven't heard much in the way of new music-- he teased fans as much on the Black Hippy remix of "THat Part," so it's safe to say we'll devour any Soul verse we can get (and 'any' Soul verse is rarely disappointing). On Bas' remix, he drops an unexpected pop culture reference to Drake and Meek Mill's beef: "Back to back, it's like I'm mad at Meek." Take a listen.
Quotable Lyrics
Burning brain cells with my nigga that just made bail like last week
Still ducking strays in the plies like submissive bitches
With my dogs at the top with some heat and fuck all ya'll 'til I'm in the box
Six feet underneath the gravel, casket made of 47 karat gold
Here the trump is blowed, Jesus banging the gave
