Atmosphere have released a few loose tracks since their last album, Southsiders, which they released almost two years ago. There's no word on if they're working on a new album, but today they've released a record named after "Salma Hayek." Anyone who is a fan of Slug may instantly be reminded of his past Felt albums-- all of which have been named after famous actresses. I mean, that's the first thing I thought of with this song title, however that's probably as far as the comparison goes, because there's also no word on if we'll even get another project from Felt (sad face).
The record at hand is quite musically-inclined, including bursts of quivering guitar, a consistent rhythm of organ keys, and even spurts of flute and scratching.
Quotable Lyrics
I'm an original, but the kids don't know
I was spittin' flows before flip phones
Back when it wasn't cool to rap about sniffing coke
And you right
It might be a shit show
But you ain't fucking with this bro
Your wifi ain't got no signal
Fefe sucking on my biggest toe
