Asher Roth continues to roll out content leading up to his new album, RetroHash, which will finally see the light of day on April 22nd after several delays and a name change or two.
For "The World Is Not Enough" Asher enlists famed director Rik Codero to bring another element to the story Roth is spitting. While Asher sits alone in a leather chair and raps, Codero mixes in footage of violence and unrest from across the world. It's definitely worth the watch and a listen, as Roth talks about some real life stuff.
Asher says to Complex of the visual, "It's hard to ignore what's happening all over the world. The recent events in Venezuela and Ukraine have captured my attention and I hope others share my passion for justice and peace. The uprisings are intense. Intimidating. Inspiring. I was very happy to learn Rik was drawn to my words in 'The World Is Not Enough' and helped produce a timely piece that will in the very least create awareness."
