A$AP Bari is facing allegations of sexual assault following a disturbing video that surfaced online last week. After releasing a statement calling the clip "misleading," Bari now seems to be facing criticism from a fellow member of A$AP Mob -- A$AP Rocky.
Complex has pointed to a clip first uncovered by the HipHopHeads SubReddit in which Rocky appears to change a bar in his song "Telephone Calls" to diss Bari. The lyric, which was originally recorded as "Call the young Lord A$AP Bari he legit," has been changed to "Call the young Lord A$AP Bari he a bitch" (at least that's what it sounds like). The performance took place at the Agenda trade show in Long Beach, California.
The video of Bari that was made available online last week depicts him telling a distraught naked woman "You fucked my assistant, now you're going to suck my dick." The woman is heard saying "Stop it, Bari, honestly stop," before running out of the room. Rocky has not made an official comment on the allegations against Bari. Read Bari's full statement below.
"A misleading video clip featuring adult content and activity has been released to the public without my knowledge or consent. Comments about myself or anyone being detained or arrested are false. We have resolved this issue amicably among all parties as adults. We were friends before this and will remain friends afterwards. Being raised by strong women who taught me to respect everyone, I’m disappointed in the situation as well as myself and will reflect on the situation appropriately."
