Over the weekend at ComplexCon, five pairs of ASAP Bari's first sneaker collab, the VLONE x Nike Air Force 1, were auctioned off and the kicks have already surfaced on eBay with some ridiculous prices. And when I say "ridiculous prices" I mean that one pair, a size 12, currently has more than 120 bids totalling over $90,000.
There are only 20 pairs of ASAP Bari's black and orange AF1s in existence which is the reason why the prices are so outrageous but not even he could've predicted this type of hysteria around his first sneaker collab.
In an interview with Complex ASAP Bari said:
"This sneaker might be wack to people, it might be amazing to others, it might be the most powerful sneaker in 10 years," said ASAP Bari. "You don’t know where it’s going to lead to. I don’t like to predict myself, I just like to sit back and relax and see where this is at in 10 years. People might say, '10 years ago, that sneaker was actually dope. The leather was on point. I can still wear those today, the leather doesn’t crease.'"
Another pair of size 9 VLONE x Nike Air Force 1s is currently up for grabs on eBay as well, although they're only going a little more than $4,000.
With prices like that it shouldn't be long before the other three pairs that were raffled off at ComplexCon make their way onto the secondary market.
