Amir Obe drops "Before the Vomit."

Detroit OVO affiliate Amir Obe drops another new track, coming less than two weeks after his collab with Toronto rapper Jimmy Prime. His latest, "Before the Vomit," is a "drunken freestyle," but with new production from OZ, and plenty of raw emotion from Obe, it's certainly worth your attention.

"Text me when I'm lit, just before the vomit," Obe sings, going on to reveal a correlation between his destructive behavior and his inability to maintain a positive relationship. The subject matter is heavy, but Obe's delivery is smooth and reflective. Combined with OZ's tranquil production, "Before the Vomit" provides a fully immersive listening experience.

Quotable Lyrics

Bite my tongue until it bleeds
Tryna figure you out, but you hard to read, babe
I'm just honest and promises hard to keep, babe
See you run through my nightmares it's hard to sleep, babe
