XXL Freshman Aminé has dropped his debut studio album Good For You, and it has all the trappings of a feel-good smash hit. The project's tone is so unashamedly positive, it's refreshing, especially when so much modern hip-hop centers around violence and trap-life. And honestly, the mere fact that we can now say we've seen Nelly on Metro Boomin' production is monumental in itself.
On "Yellow," Aminé delivers some hilarious quotables, referencing Disney villains with casual swagger. Country Grammar legend Nelly comes through to close out the track, delivering a sung refrain. While it would have been nice to see Nelly bust a verse like old times, his presence is enough to make you nod your head in respect.
Quotable Lyrics
I was down, yeah, now I'm better
Stuntin' with my dogs like my first name Cruella
Black girls love me 'cause a nigga got some feta
And white girls love me like my first name Coachella
