Ab-Soul isn't the first rapper in the game to take issue with some of his colleagues. We recently saw Pete Rock lay out his feelings about some of the new wave of artists, including Lil Yachty and fellow rappers that are heard to understand on wax. Yachty took it in stride (sorta), but now Ab-Soul has stepped in to also throw shade at this new generation of rappers, the same that Pete Rock was referencing.
"All these new "lil" niggaz is weak as the time it took to create earth...," he wrote on twitter. He could be referring to a handful of artists, although most are taking this as a slight directed towards Lil Uzi Vert because of the tweet that followed it. Soulo added, "We don't pass on PRIMO beats in this sport kids!" You'll recall that Uzi stirred the pot when he passed up a DJ Premier beat to freestyle over while at HOT 97.
What do you make of his tweets? Ab-Soul should have an album on the way, TDE confirmed the project was completed at the beginning of August, so stay tuned.
