Travis Heim, owner of Heim Barbecue, which is set to open in Forth Worth, Texas next month is ready to give Texas Rangers' second baseman, Rougned Odor, free BBQ for life.
Odor, you might recall, was slapped with an eight game suspension for punching the Blue Jays' Jose Bautista in the jaw last week. As it turns out, Heim is not the biggest Bautista fan and when Odor connected his fist to Bautista's grill, he earned himself a lifetime supply of barbecue food courtesy of Heim Barbecue.
But why stop there? Heim is also producing "Rougned Eats Free" shirts and he says the response has been overwhelming.
"We originally were going to print 40," Heim said. "I think now we're up to close to 200."
"We just thought it would be a funny thing if we Rougie free food because he wasn't the only one who wanted to punch Bautista after last year, so you know, it's kind of a justice, a little bit," said owner Travis Heim.
"Hopefully he doesn't like barbecue too much because then we might be in the red," he said. "It's just a fun deal, you know."
What a time to be alive. Chris Childs never got free pizza for life when he clapped Kobe.
